All of your suggestions to personalize and customize technology for students was very interesting and I agree it would be very engaging for students. The only problem is that school districts do not take the time to give time to teachers to learn "new literacy" ways. In-service days would be most beneficial to make presentations about inquiry learning or how to create an online classroom blog. We would just need to spend an inservice day learning online vocabulary and terminology! Even if we had time for a presentation, school districts would then not give time to teachers to PRACTICE! Practicing is the key for teachers to begin to feel comfortable and confident in this new literacy age.
