we learned that a 15 year old and a nine year old have the same pyramid. Even though one exercises more then the other. i think my pyramid.com isnt a very good site. yes the pyramid helped us learn a little about the food pyramid but it was boring. We knew alot of the info that was on there already.

This website has a tour so you can understand the new pyramid. This pyramid is also coded by colors. I like the old pyramid better because it is easier to read.

I found my husband who is the same age of myself can eat 2 more ounces of meat and grains than I if we both exercise 30-60 minutes a day. I learned to eat more whole grains rather than white bread, white rice etc.. Does any know how much 7 ounces of grain actually is? Is it two pieces of bread? A bowl of pasta? I'd like to know in practical terms.

Hey! We learned that a 12 year old girl and a male in their 40's have almost the same pyramid, they only need more grain (1 more ounce) even though the exercise and age is very different between the two people. This was a good site because we both liked looking at what we should eat!

A telve year old boy wasts more energy than an older man. Causing the yonger male to eat more. The younger male eats more because The food gives the human body more energy.
